How much area is required for a 20 kW rooftop solar PV system?

It’s fairly easy to figure out the area required for a 20kW rooftop solar system. As a thumb rule, 100 square feet area is needed to install an 1kW solar panel system. So, for a 20kW system, it would require 20 X 100 sqft= 2000sqft, which is around 0.046 acre.

Note: This area also includes all the area needed for other components of the system such as inverter, battery, management unit, and so on.
